My GBF has also told me that this style of dance is used predominately in the drag world. The movements are small and articulated so as not to draw too much attention to certain *ahem* parts. In fact, the dancer on the left is the choreographer of the original video and is a drag queen. LOVES IT!
ReplyDeleteThe Bob Fosse choreography makes so much sense, as well. I would KILL to be in a Fosse-based show (either "Sweet Charity" or "Cabaret") and I love this intricate style of movement.
